Carlton defender Lachie Plowman has been stretchered off with a knee injury in the Blues’ game against Collingwood at the MCG.

Plowman jumped to smother a kick, landed awkwardly, and went down in pain immediately.

The Blues’ trainers tried to get him off but he couldn’t put any weight on the knee.

Triple M boundary rider Michael Roberts holds grave fears for Plowman.

“I’ve done an ACL myself, and when you can’t support any body weight on it, it looks bad,” Robbo said.

“The pain that goes through that knee too is a shocker, and I reckon he’s experiencing that right now.”

Carlton had earlier lost Levi Casboult to a broken finger in the warm up.

They trail the Pies 3.2 (20) to 4.5 (29) midway through the second term.

Gold Coast’s Peter Wright missed a simple set shot yesterday, and James Brayshaw lost it!
