Port Adelaide's win over Brisbane has been soured late, with an injury to top midfielder Jared Polec.

Polec limped off the ground with five minutes remaining in the win with an apparent hamstring injury.

Triple M boundary rider Theo Doropoulos spotted Polec leaving the ground.

"Absolute certainly, right hamstring," he said.

"(He) looks in a lot of distress."

Polec had been impressive for the Power, racking up 21 disposals and five tackles.

"It's just at the end of the shorts, so right in the middle of the hamstring," he said.

"But (he's) absolutely gone."

The 24-year-old has been one of the leading contributors in Port Adelaide's midfield this season, averaging 22.6 disposals and 4.8 inside 50s a game, and leading the club in metres gained with 453 per game.
