Triple M Footy news breaker Damian Barrett says that the AFL is “partly to blame” for Andrew Gaff’s punch that broke the jaw of Fremantle rookie Andrew Brayshaw.

Speaking on the Rush Hour this afternoon, Barrett said that the AFL has allowed a culture that tolerates punching and that it was bound to go too far.

Gaff is likely to be sent directly to tribunal for the punch.

Meanwhile, Brayshaw has had surgery on a broken jaw and three displaced teeth, and can not eat solid foods for four weeks.
