Western Bulldogs coach Luke Beveridge suggests Matthew Boyd could earn a farewell game next week against Hawthorn.

With finals action slipping away after their 17-point loss to Port Adelaide on Sunday, the possibility of a send-off for Boyd, alongside teammate Bob Murphy, would come closer.

Beveridge said the Dogs will reconsider things and possibly give "a couple of players" a send-off if their finals window closes this weekend.

"If we can't make it, the whole complexion of the week changes for us, because we've got a couple of players who are going to finish up," he said after the game.

"So we'll assess that if we're in that position."

Not likely to feature in a send-off is Dale Morris, with Beveridge expecting him to play next season.

"Dale Morris is likely to go on," he said.
