Following the announcement of his retirement, Hawthorn champion Luke Hodge joined Triple M's The Winter Breakfast this morning to discuss his glittering career.
Now that he only has 7 games remaining in his career - including his 300th this weekend - Hodgey said that he was really looking forward to this season knowing it would be his last.
"I was looking forward to this year," Hodge said.
"I had a different mindset at the start of this year - I was just relaxed."
"I wanted to help Roughy as much as I could and just really enjoy it."
When asked to reflect on his career, Howie and Lawrence hit the premiership skipper with some of the toughest assessments to make.
Toughest Opponent: "I'll probably have to say Michael Voss."
Biggest Career Influence: "Very hard to split between Andrew Russell and Alastair Clarkson."
Best Teammate: "Either a Buddy, a Cyril, a Mitch or a Crawf."
