Speaking on the Monday Rub ahead of Triple M’s coverage of the Richmond v Melbourne Anzac Day Eve match, Hodgey said he wasn’t too fussed about the incident.

“When you get hit you’re not as angry as if someone hits your teammate,” he said.

“It’s a part of football, and I’m not gonna whinge if I get whacked, I’ve given out a couple!”

Hodge said that he won’t be holding a grudge, but that he won’t forget it either.

“I’m a big believer that whatever happens on the footy field, leave it there and next time you play deal with it then,” Hodgey said.

“I’m not gonna go and whinge about some young fella having a crack out there… it’s a part of football.”
