Geelong utility Mark Blicavs has signed a whopping five-year contract extension.

The big man will be tied to the Cats until the end of 2023, almost certainly making him a one-club player.

The 27-year-old won the best and fairest in 2015 and has impressed with his versatility down back, through the midfield and in the ruck.

"Being a one club player is important to me, and the club has shown a lot of faith in me in providing that opportunity," he told the club's website.

"I love the club and the people, and from the first time I stepped inside the club I have wanted to be here.

"Everything here is first class and there is no other group I would want to run out with each week. The focus is on doing everything we can to again be challenging at the end of the season."

Which three clubs are after Gold Coast co-captain Tom Lynch? Triple M's Damian Barrett named them and picked his frontrunner.
