Norm Smith medallist Brian Lake was famously locked in a Japanese jail this week after an altercation following a footy game in Osaka.

He got released this evening Australia time, leading Mark Howard to reminisce about his own brush with the law in Japan on the Friday Huddle.

Howie was working on the Japanese Grand Prix when a fire extinguisher was somehow let off in a hotel room, leading to a letter of apology having to be written to the Emperor of Japan.
