West Coast premiership forward Mark LeCras has announced his retirement.

The 32-year-old will hang up the boots, with his final game being the triumphant 2018 AFL grand final.

He ends his career having played 219 games and kicking 441 goals, as well as a John Worsfold Medal and All-Australian berth in 2010.

“I’m very comfortable with the decision,” LeCras said today.

“I have had a couple of weeks to think about it, discuss it with my family and the club and it just feels like the right time.

“I couldn’t be happier after playing in a winning grand final with so many blokes who will be mates for the rest of my life. The last few weeks have been something really special and I’ll never forget the feeling when the final siren sounded.

“I was starting to wonder whether I’d ever get the chance to experience the elation that I have heard so many other players talk about. It’s everything they said and a little more.”
