Triple M’s Mark Stevens believes Port Adelaide’s Jackson Trengove is highly likely to depart the club at the end of the year, naming the Western Bulldogs as a probable destination.

Trengove is out of favour and out of contract at the Power, squeezed out of their side after round 19 and unable to reclaim his place in the side for their elimination final against West Coast.

This comes despite some impressive form in the SANFL, where he’s averaged 20 disposals, 11 hit outs and seven marks across four games, as well as nine goals.

Stevo believes Trengove is pretty likely to go.

"I think it’s Winx odds," he said during Triple M’s coverage of Adelaide/GWS.

"Obviously (he’s) a free agent, he’s not getting much of a crack at the moment. I think similar to (Daniel) Menzel, if you were Trengove, you’re sitting there (thinking) why would I stay here?"

He believes the Bulldogs are a likely destination.

“He's got options, probably at the Bulldogs. He can play as that second ruck, key back,” he said.

Chris Dittmar was a little surprised the Power have lost faith in him after his 2016 season.

“I know you’ve got to be picked on form, but I think back to the year (Port Adelaide) didn’t have a ruckman,” Ditts said.

“Obviously Paddy Ryder was out. He gave everything and carried the rucks and really it was a lion-hearted effort."
