Mark Thompson Speaks After Being Granted Bail

Mark Thompson has spoken after being granted bail, saying he has "no idea" whether he'll plead guilty or not guilty to drug charges.

Thompson was arrested and charged with seven drug offences on Tuesday, and appear at the Melbourne Magistrate's Court.

He was granted bail on strict conditions, surrendering his passport and providing a $20,000 surety.

"It's a big day and hopefully we get a chance to fight them, that's it," he told reporters on Tuesday night.

"I've got no idea (whether I'll plead guilty or not guilty)."

"I've got nothing to say."
