Matt Rosa has announced his retirement.

The midfielder has hung up the boots after a career spanning 207 AFL games. 168 at West Coast and 39 at Gold Coast.

"It is with a heavy heart that I have decided to retire from AFL football," he wrote in a letter on Gold Coast's website.

"Unfortunately, my body has been telling me for some time that it can no longer cope with the demands of the game at the highest level.

"The game has given myself, my family and friends so much enjoyment over the journey and I have been so fortunate to live my childhood dream for 14 years."

Andrew Gaff's punch, Josh Jenkins' shot and can North Melbourne make the eight? It's all happening on Damo's Recovery Session on Triple M's Rush Hour.
