Melbourne are a club on the rise, but they’re trying to keep a lid on it.

As Goodwin puts it, "Fugazi. It's a whazy. It's a woozie..."

To Goodwin, fugazi is a word to represent outside noise, and the club is filtering it out as they march towards September.

Speaking to the Sunday Rub today, Melbourne ruckman Maxy Gawn lifted the lid on where Simon Goodwin’s Wolf of Wall Street-inspired line comes from.

“He comes in Monday morning and drops that little line on us, and gets a few laughs from the boys. It’s just a way of saying there’s going to be a lot of talk about winning six in a row.”

Fair to say that Simmo was proud of it!
