Melbourne have announced eight new jumper number changes for the 2018 season.

Former Adelaide defender Jake Lever will wear No.8, ex-Fremantle youngster Harley Balic has been handed No.27 while draftees Charlie Spargo (nine), Bayley Fritsch (31), Oskar Baker (33) and Harrison Petty (35) have received their numbers too.

Meanwhile, James Harmes has moved from No.43 to No.4 and Corey Maynard has shifted from No.48 to No.20.

Jack Watts (four), Heritier Lumumba (eight), Jack Trengove (nine), Colin Garland (20), Aidan Riley (27), Jack Grimes (31), Jake Spencer (33) and Ben Kennedy (35) were the previous holders of the jumper numbers.

Watts and Trengove have both joined Port Adelaide, Lumumba and Garland have retired while Riley, Grimes, Spencer and Kennedy have all been delisted in the last few seasons.
