Melbourne young gun Christian Petracca has revealed on Triple M’s Rush Hour that his attempt to get stuck into Fremantle ruckman Aaron Sandilands backfired badly.

After Sandilands’ direct opponent Jake Spencer kicked a goal on Saturday, Petracca took it upon himself to try and let Sandilands know all about it.

But as the former No.2 draft pick found out for himself, attempting to ruffle Sandilands’ feathers is futile.

“He’s a big man mountain. I thought I’d get into him and pushed him and it felt like pushing a brick wall to be honest,” Petracca admitted.

“He pushed me back and I fell straight to the ground!

“I shouldn’t have done that, I should apologise to him,” he joked.

“He would weigh over 130kg I reckon.”

Sandilands had the last laugh as his Dockers beat Melbourne by two points in a thriller at the MCG.
