A junior football coach in Melbourne has been whacked with a 12-game suspension from the Northern Football League.

It has been alleged that the Eltham Junior Football Club coach swore at two girls during an under-14 girls’ game.

His charges included:

  • Abusive language (two four-week bans)
  • Misconduct (two-week ban)
  • Disputing an umpiring decision (two-week ban)

It has been reported that the man abused two girls from the opposition team - both who attended the league's tribunal as part of the hearing.

"Any player or official that exceeds a total of 16 weeks’ suspension during their career is automatically deregistered and banned from participating in the sport for life," Fox Sports reports.
