Scans have confirmed that star duo Jamie Elliott and Darcy Moore both suffered minor hamstring strains on Sunday.
Elliott hurt himself during his comeback game in the VFL while Moore was hobbled during Collingwood’s 21-point loss to Geelong.
Moore hadn’t played an AFL game since round two while Elliott has been sidelined for the entire season so far.
Collingwood football manager Geoff Walsh said both strains were suffered in similar regions of the hamstring as previously experienced.
“As disappointing as it is for Darcy and Jamie to miss more football, the fresh injuries are not tears but relatively minor strains,” Walsh said.
“Further assessments will be made in the coming days and it will be after those assessments and examinations are completed that their recovery programs will be mapped out.”
The club has confirmed that it would be reviewing its recent soft tissue history.
