Western Bulldogs midfielder Mitch Wallis has ended speculation surrounding his future by signing a new three-year contract with the club.
Wallis had been strongly linked to rival clubs, namely Essendon, but the 25-year-old has resisted the lure of free agency to stay at Whitten Oval until the end of 2021 at least.
“It’s fantastic to be able to re-sign with a club that means so much to me and my family,” Wallis said.
“There was never any question about my commitment to the club or my desire to remain here.
“We’re a young side showing some really positive signs, and I’m pleased that I’ll be here to contribute as we move forward.”
The father-son recruit has played 123 games with the Dogs since arriving at The Kennel eight years ago.
