The Curnow brothers have received mixed news at the AFL appeals board, with Charlie free to play and Ed having his penalty upheld, suspended for one week.
The appeals board found Charlie Curnow's contact with the umpire was careless, rather than intentional, leaving him free to play this weekend.
He received a $1,000 fine.
Ed Curnow, however, was found guilty of making intentional umpire contact.
The appeals board suspended him for this weekend's clash against Melbourne.
