Tom Hawkins can accept a one-game suspension for striking Adelaide's Matt Crouch.

The incident occured just before half-time when he appeared to land a blow to the jaw of the Crows midfielder.

The Cats full forward will miss the his teams clash with West Coast - unless Geelong challenge the decision.

THE MRP statement reads: Based on the available video evidence and a medical report from the Adelaide Crows Football Club, the incident was assessed as intentional conduct with low impact to the head. The incident was classified as a two-match sanction. The player has no applicable record which impacts the penalty. An early plea enables the player to accept a one-match sanction.

More to come.
