Nathan Brown revealed he had to write to WADA for permission to use hair regrowth drug finasteride.

Browny said he was anxious about the possibility of going bald back in 2004, so he contacted the doctors at his club wondering what he could do.

"Look, there's a lot of bald men out there," he said on the Friday Huddle.

"I had a look at my old man back in 2004 and thought I am going to go bald at some stage.

"I went to the doctors at the footy club and said, is there something I can do?

"They said there's a drug called finasteride."

Browny revealed taking the drug wasn't so simple.

"You had to write to WADA and get approval to use this drug,"

"I needed confidence to go out there and play football! I felt like I needed my hair to be able to play the football that I needed.

"I wasn't taking any chances."

Browny's still on it: because if you stop taking it, "it falls out with interest".
