Nathan Buckley says Travis Varcoe looks likely to miss the rest of the season after dislocating his elbow.

Varcoe was knocked out in a big collision during the third term of Collingwood's win.

But Buckley revealed after the match the injury is more nasty.

“Trav Varcoe, that could have been anything,” he said after the match.

“He was knocked out and he dislocated his elbow, so he’s going to the banged up big time."

Buckley says it's not looking good for the midfielder.

“The early prognosis is that we may not see him for the rest of the year,” he said.

“We’ll know more in the next 24 hours or so.”

Darcy Moore's injury isn't as bad as first thought, though, with the Collingwood coach saying he was hospitalised as a precaution.

“Darcy’s injured his neck in some shape or form,” he said.

“We’re not exactly sure. We don’t think it’s serious, but there were definitely precautions taken to not put him back out onto the field, because he had a fairly significant blow to it.

“We’ll know more when the dust settles on it."
