Collingwood coach Nathan Buckley joined The Sunday Rub this afternoon and briefly addressed the prospects of a number of his injured stars returning in 2018.

Buckley has ruled out Jamie Elliott and Ben Reid for the rest of season, but has left the door open for Adam Treloar and Tyson Goldsack to make an unlikely return this football this year.

“No we won’t get 'Billy' (Elliott) back, and we won’t get Reidy back,” Buckley said.

“Ads (Treloar) is probably in Goldy’s shoes, there is still a fair bit of water to go under the bridge.”

Elliott hasn't appeared at senior level for the Pies this year with a horrid run of hamstring injuries, while Reid who went down with a calf injury in the VFL yesterday, has been restricted to only 6 games in 2018.

Treloar has resumed training with the main group after a serious hamstring injury and Goldsack will be looking to return to the VFL in the coming weeks after suffering an ACL injury during the preseason.
