New Kangaroo draftee Oscar Junker has broken his tibia after a mishap during the team's practice match on Saturday.

The 19-year old landed awkwardly in the game against Werribee with scans revealing the fracture.

Junker is expected to miss up to four months with the injury, ruling him out until round 7 or 8.

The midfielder was taken with pick No.28 in last year's NAB AFL Rookie Draft.

It has been an off-season of injuries for North Melbourne, with Jed AndersonBen Brown and Majak Daw also suffering training mishaps of their own.
