West Coast star Nic Naitanui has had his one-match ban upheld.

The West Coast star was found guilty at the tribunal on Wednesday night for his rough tackle on Karl Amon.

Naitanui tackled Amon in the back during the weekend's West Coast/Port Adelaide clash, which saw Amon sustain a delayed concussion.

He will miss the clash against GWS this Saturday.

Naitanui argued that he tried his best to ensure his frame did not land on Amon, and that he was trying to roll his weight to the side.

The ruckman stated he did not believe he "used excessive force" and did "as much as (he) could" to prevent any injury.

Amon suffered a delayed concussion, which Port Adelaide said has put him in doubt for this weekend's Showdown.
