North Melbourne have confirmed that No.4 draft pick Luke Davies-Uniacke will make his debut for the club against Gold Coast on Saturday in Cairns.

Davies-Uniacke will be joined in the Kangaroos’ line-up by fellow new face Billy Hartung who crossed to Arden Street from Hawthorn at the end of last season.

“There was a small murmur that I might be playing, so to hear the news officially today was great,” Davies-Uniacke said.

“The step-up to senior footy had been tough and challenging, especially in the Melbourne summer.

“A couple of players had hinted during the week that I may be playing, but to hear it officially was great.

“The step-up to AFL has been tough but good at the same time, especially during the hot Melbourne summer.”

Meanwhile, North coach Brad Scott confirmed star defender Robbie Tarrant would also face the Suns.
