North Melbourne has delisted six players.

Billy Hartung, Tom Jeffries, Oscar Junker, Gordon Narrier, Daniel Nielson and Josh Williams have been told they won't be contracted for 2019.

“It’s the worst part of our job, by far,” North Melbourne's general manager of football Cameron Joyce told North Media.

“Our focus though is on supporting the boys as best we can as they transition to another club or in some cases, look to go in another direction completely in terms of their careers.

“For all these boys, they’ve given their all to the North Melbourne Football Club and we must duly acknowledge their contributions and efforts.

“We wish all the players the very best for the future and hope they find other opportunities."

Hartung played 13 games for North Melbourne this season after being picked up from Hawthorn, while Nielson and Williams played seven and two games respectively last season.

Junker, Narrier and Jeffries were all cut from the rookie list, with none of the three cracking the AFL side.
