North Melbourne ruckman Majak Daw will switch to jumper No.1 next season after eight years in No.38.
Daw’s number change ensures the No.1 jumper at North Melbourne continues its strong connection to ruckmen at the club.
It was last worn by Daniel Currie, who played four games in it in 2014, while it was worn with more distinction by Hamish McIntosh between 2005 and 2012.
Daw, who was picked up in the 2010 rookie draft, has played 32 games for the Kangaroos since debuting in 2013, including seven this year.
The 26-year-old is contracted to North Melbourne until the end of the 2019 season.
