Promising North Melbourne youngster Jed Anderson’s immediate future is under a cloud, according to Triple M Footy’s Jay Clark.

Anderson, who had a breakout season in 2018, is out of contract but is still yet to sign a new deal with the Kangaroos.

The 24-year-old joined North Melbourne at the end of 2015 on a three-year deal after three seasons with Hawthorn.

He played 21 of his 46 career games with the Kangaroos this year, averaging 20 disposals and kicking seven goals.

“I’m not sure that Jed Anderson is a done deal yet,” Jay-Z told Triple M’s Rush Hour on Friday.

“That’s a weird one and I’m not sure there’s been much movement in recent times either so that one’s still blowing in the breeze.”

Anderson was ranked fourth at the Kangaroos this season for disposals, second for tackles, third for clearances and second for contested possessions.
