It was bloody windy in Melbourne yesterday.

And don't some of the boys in the VAFA know it?

There was one clash yesterday between Old Melburnians and St Kevins that sums up how strong the wind was perfectly.

Old Melburnians kicked with the wind in the first term, slamming home six goals without conceding a score, before going scoreless themselves in the second.

They then rued their inaccuracy in the third, kicking 2.8 (20) and again keeping St Kevins goalless to lead 8.17 (65) to 1.7 (13) at three quarter time.

Then St Kevins, with the wind, absolutely stormed home.

They kicked 11.7 (73) to 0.0 (0) in the last term with the wind to win by 21 points.

All up?

20.28 (148) to one end.

0.3 (3) to the other.
