Carlton tyro Patrick Cripps is well known as a ball-winner — he holds the records for both most contested possessions and most clearances after 50 games.
One area he can definitely improve on his goal kicking, as shown by his awkward piece of play in front of goal late in the second term in the game against St Kilda at Etihad Stadium today.
Cripps took a mark inside 50 with under a minute on the clock, and with space in front of him elected to play on.
He was then wracked by indecision, not being able to choose between giving the Joe the goose handball or kicking the goal himself.
In the end he was too slow and got himself caught.
Watch it here:
Not his best work inside 50.
The Blues are trailing St Kilda 6.2 (38) to 7.6 (48) midway through the third quarter.
