Port Adelaide have knocked off arch-rivals Adelaide in a comeback win in the SANFL at Maughan Thiem Hyundai Oval.

Adelaide were 25 points ahead at quarter time but ended up going down 8.11 (59) to 14.10 (94).

The Crows booted the first four goals of the game but only four more afterwards, while the Magpies took over with a six goal second quarter and weren’t headed thereafter.

Category B rookie Hugh Greenwood had 27 touches, 11 clearances and nine tackles for the Crows, while veteran Scott Thompson had 23 touches and 10 clearances.

Nathan Krakouer and Robert Eddy kicked five apiece for the Magpies, with Eddy adding 22 touches, 13 marks and eight inside 50s to his bag.

It was Adelaide’s second loss in a row, while Port improved to 3-1 from their four matches and sit second on the ladder.
