Port Adelaide general manager of football Chris Davies has shrugged off the Luke Shuey free kick, saying the Power had "plenty of opportunities” to put themselves ahead during the night.

Luke Shuey won the game after the siren in extra time with a free kick for around the neck, which generated a little controversy.

Shuey raised his arm during the Jared Polec tackle, which saw him collected around the neck.

Davies told Triple M’s Dead Set Legends the decision wasn’t the be all and end all.

"These decisions are made throughout the night, aren’t they?” he said.

“There’s no point suggesting that they don’t make some difference, but at the same time, we had plenty of opportunities throughout the game to be in a better position than we were.”

The AFL came out on Sunday and clarified that the umpire’s decision was correct.

Davies said he couldn’t argue with that.

"The AFL have been clear, coming out today and suggesting the decision's right, so there’s no point from my perspective suggesting anything other," he told Triple M.
