Port Adelaide has officially made an offer for West Coast ruckman Scott Lycett.

The premiership ruckman looks to be on the way to Alberton, with the Power officially lodging their offer on Saturday afternoon.

The Eagles have three days to match an offer.

Lycett was a crucial part of West Coast's premiership side, first teaming with Nic Naitanui in the ruck and then Nathan Vardy late in the season.

The 26-year-old played all 25 games, averaging 12.5 disposals, 20.1 hit outs and kicking 10 goals for the season.

It is the fourth offer made under free agency this season, with Reece Conca and Luke Dahlhaus moving to Fremantle and Geelong respectively as unrestricted free agents, while Richmond's offer for Tom Lynch is also in the three-day waiting period.

It marks a return home for Lycett, who played for Port Adelaide's SANFL side in 2010 before being drafted.
