Triple M's Damian Barrett has reported that a Hawthorn board member has resigned from the role.

Speaking on the AFL's NAB Trade Radio, Barrett claims that Bruce Stevenson has stepped down from his position as Director on the Hawthorn board.

It follows this morning's news that Hawthorn CEO Tracey Gaudry was sacked after having the job for less than 6 months.

"Stevenson has become very disgruntled with where the club is at and how it's being run," Barrett said.

He was elected to the Hawks' Board of Directors in 2013 and was a 1971 Premiership player with the club.
