Amongst the hype of Grand Final week, spare a thought for those people who have to decide which of their beloved clubs they are going to support on Saturday.

One of those people is former Richmond and Adelaide player Richard Tambling.

The much maligned midfielder was selected by the Tigers with pick four in the 2004 AFL Draft; playing 108 games for Richmond before being traded to Adelaide at the end of 2010 where he played 16 games for the Crows over three seasons.

Tambling caught up with the AFL Website and revealed to Peter Ryan that he would be barracking for the club they initially drafted him into the AFL system on Saturday - his beloved Richmond Tigers.

"I just enjoy my footy nowadays but obviously the 'Tigs'. I spent most of my career there and am grateful for the opportunity Richmond gave me and my family," Tambling told AFL.com.au.

"They are definitely the club in my mind that we're going for this weekend."

Tambling spoke glowingly about his time at the Tigers, and his pride in seeing Dustin Martin share the Brownlow stage with Patrick Dangerfield - both former teammates of his.
