Richmond has reported a profit of $3.06 million for the financial year ending 31st October.

It’s a huge increase on last year’s financial result, which showed a deficit of $80,257.

The Tigers generated revenue of $65.2 million in the 2017 financial year, a $17.6 million increase on the $47.5 million they generated last year.

Richmond attributed the “significant growth” to increased crowds and sponsorship and sales of merchandise and memorabilia.

The Tigers also pointed to some remarkable crowd statistics for their financial results, including a total home and away crowds in excess of a million (the highest in the AFL), an average home crowd of 55,958 (also a league high and club record), and a seventh consecutive record membership of 75,777.

Five of their games were played in front of crowds over 85,000, while Dreamtime at the G and the Anzac Eve games were the 5th and 6th highest home crowds in the club’s history.

Amazing what a good season does for a club!
