Richmond forward Josh Caddy can accept a one-game suspension for striking Adelaide midfielder David Mackay at Adelaide Oval on Thursday night.

Caddy collected Mackay in the third quarter as the Crow handballed the ball away, leaving him dazed on the ground for many seconds.

Mackay failed a concussion test and was unable to take any further part in the match.

Caddy’s teammate Toby Nankervis has been offered a $1500 fine for misconduct against Adelaide onballer Matt Crouch.

And Crows second-gamer Darcy Fogarty can also accept a $1500 sanction for misconduct against Caddy.

The news was better for Tigers star Shane Edwards who was cleared of making head-high contact with Adelaide spearhead Taylor Walker in the third term.

Match review officer Michael Christian found that Edwards had his hands down and touched the ball when he made contact with Walker.

Christian decided Edwards was contesting the ball and did not have a realistic alternative way to contest the ball.

Also, Alex Rance was cleared of staging in the first quarter. Christian decided that the star defender did not excessively exaggerate contact to satisfy staging guidelines after receiving a push from behind with some force.
