Adelaide midfielder Rory Sloane is in doubt for the Crows’ clash with Sydney this Friday night at the SCG.

Sloane has been struggling with a foot injury for the past few weeks.

"He's still a bit sore," coach Don Pyke said.

"He's one that we've got to look at and decide what's best for Rory and best for the team to perform at the level we know he's capable of.

"Clearly in the last couple weeks, as much as he's been really willing, clearly his body is not in the space it needs to be to perform the way we know Rory Sloane plays."

David Mackay and Lachlan Murphy will also miss with concussion and a hamstring injury respectively.

Skipper Tex Walker is likely to play despite his own struggles with a foot injury.

"He's turned the corner a little bit," Pyke said.

"As is normal with guys who haven't done a lot of pre-season, they get a bit sore and maybe his load and his build-up was a bit more than his body was ready to cope with, and that's just meant we've had to manage him.

"He trained really well the other day and we're really confident with Tex and his availability this week."
