Port Adelaide midfielder Sam Powell-Pepper has made himself unavailable for selection this weekend while he is investigated for an alleged incident at an Adelaide bar.
Powell-Pepper is being investigated for an incident where he is alleged to have stuck his hands down a woman’s skirt at a club.
Port Adelaide released a statement today:
Port Adelaide advises the AFL investigation into an alleged incident involving Sam Powell-Pepper at an Adelaide bar on Sunday 8 April is still ongoing.
Given the investigation is still continuing, Sam believes his focus has been compromised ahead of Saturday night’s game and therefore has decided to make himself unavailable for selection.
Port Adelaide will continue to provide support for Sam as the AFL investigation continues.
