St Kilda’s VFL affiliate Sandringham just managed to get through an entire match without kicking a goal in the VFL.

The Zebras lost a very scrappy affair 11.11 (77) to 0.9 (9) in dreadful conditions at Williamstown Cricket Ground.

Sandy actually led 0.5 (5) to 0.0 (0) at quarter time, but then went scoreless in the second term and could only add three behinds in the third and one in the last.

It was Sandringham’s lowest score in their history.

Sandy were in touch at three quarter time, trailing 3.5 (23) to 0.8 (8), but the Seagulls blew the game apart in the last.

They booted 8.6 as the conditions got the better of Sandringham.

Williamstown’s Michael Gibbons said they were the worst conditions he’d ever played in.

Paul Roos told a story about Hulk Hogan turning up to Melbourne looking for Jesse Hogan on the Sunday Rub.
