Scans have confirmed that Hawthorn defender Ben Stratton will miss the Hawks’ next final against the winner of tonight’s Geelong v Melbourne game.

Stratton suffered a hamstring injury in the third quarter of the Hawks’ 31 points loss to Richmond.

“Unfortunately today the scans confirmed Ben has suffered a low-grade hamstring strain,” Hawthorn Director of High Performance Andrew Russell said on the club’s website.

“Ben won’t take part in our match next week and will be a test beyond that, depending on how our finals campaign progresses.”

It will be the first game Stratton has missed all season.

Daniel Rioli was in brilliant finals form last night, and so was BT — his call of Rioli’s dribble goal was brilliant.
