Collingwood star Jeremy Howe says that the Collingwood leadership group had to tell Jordan de Goey some home truths earlier this year.
De Goey missed the first three matches of the season due to injury and an internal suspension after being caught drink driving in the pre-season, and the leadership group at the club had to read him the riot act.
Howe also mentioned skipper Scott Pendlebury, who's taken de Goey under his wing.
Pendles' help might go some way to explaining de Goey's form, after he put in a match-winning six goal performance against the Saints on Saturday night.
