After breaking his finger against the Gold Coast, Collingwood's Scott Pendlebury has faced an uphill battle to get the digit right.
The skipper underwent two surgeries after telling Triple M that the first one wasn't successful.
“I’ve got wires in it now,” he said on Triple M.
“The x-ray showed two clean breaks. They went in and the surgeon just said the bone was shattered, so we had to piece 15 bits back together.
“We didn’t get it right. The screw that went through the bone broke that bone.
“It didn’t go well.”
Speaking of wires and screws, Pendlebury showed the finished product on his Instagram account.
