There is some doubt over whether Scott Pendlebury will play next week with an injured right hand, with the Collingwood skipper going in for scans today.

Pendlebury hurt his right hand against Gold Coast, having it strapped and playing out the game.

But it wasn't one hundred percent, with Pendlebury seen protecting it while shaking hands with the opposition after their 15-point win.

He told Channel 7 he hoped he wouldn't miss any footy.

"I think any time you come and get a scan, it's never good," he said.

"Hopefully it's on the lesser end and I can play this week."

Pendlebury has not missed a match since round 21, 2014, where he was injured in the warm-up.

His last significant injury other than that was back in 2012, where he broke his leg against Gold Coast.
