Geelong midfielder Scott Selwood has returned to footy with a bang in the last couple of weeks.

The 27-year-old battled his way back into Geelong's side after a toe injury, and he's certainly made the most of it.

Selwood is, so far, averaging 16 disposals and a goal a game playing through Geelong's midfield.

But what's most impressive so far is his tackling, recording 17 tackles in each win over Port Adelaide and the Western Bulldogs.

It's the most tackles across two weeks of footy on record.

Selwood's 34 tackles across two weeks eclipses the next best, held by Hawthorn's Liam Shiels, who notched up 31 tackles across round seven and eight last season.

Not a bad return to footy!
