“Shane Mumford, retired last year with some knee issues and persistent injury concerns, I understand Mumford will make a comeback of sorts this year,” Browne said.

“Mumford wants box — yes, box — Paul Gallen, who’s the captain of the Cronulla Sharks, and wants to make a comeback in the world of boxing.

“I understand that will take place on pay-per-view this year.”

Browne said that Gallen would go in favourite.

“Mummy’s 199 centimetres and 31 years of age, Gallen a professional boxer of sorts, so you’d think that Gallen would have the advantage,” he said.

“But who can question Mumford? He’s very determined.
