Star Richmond quartet Trent Cotchin, Alex Rance, Jack Riewoldt and Josh Caddy will all be free to play in the Tigers’ preliminary final in a fortnight’s time following the match review officer's findings into Thursday night's clash with Hawthorn.

Cotchin was cleared of contact he made with Hawthorn’s Shaun Burgoyne after Michael Christian ruled that Cotchin ran through the line of the ball and was making a realistic attempt to contest the ball.

Rance and Hawthorn’s Paul Puopolo were cleared of making contact each other. Christian said Puopolo’s force used was below that required for a charge while Rance was seeking to push an opponent off him. The actions were not deemed to be unreasonable in circumstances.

Riewoldt was cleared of contact he made with James Sicily. Christian said contact was made with an open hand and this was not a clear striking action.

And Caddy can accept two separate $1500 sanctions for two separate misconduct offences against Daniel Howe.

Meanwhile, Hawks skipper Jarryd Roughead was cleared of contact made with Reece Conca. Christian said Conca reached for the ball when high contact was made and that Roughead braced himself, and did not elect to bump.

Puopolo was also cleared of his clash with Daniel Rioli. After viewing all available footage and receiving a medical report, Christian ruled there was insufficient force in the contact to constitute a charge.
