Everyone's favourite suburban footy club, Nunawading, is still chugging along through a difficult 2016 campaign.

But statistics discovered exclusively by Triple M show that there is a bit of light at the end of the tunnel for the Lions.

By tracking Nunawading's losing margins over the season, this graph shows that the gap between the Lions and their opponents is gradually narrowing week by week.

If the graph is any indication, by Round 18 we project that Nunawading could be losing games by as little as 150 points.

The trend also indicates that after 47 games - or Round 11, 2018 - the boys should be able to register a win.

Unforunately, next week Nunawading travel away to face top-placed Ferntree Gully who sit undefeated with a percentage of 234.41.

But who knows... Stranger things have happened.
