Radio and TV 'shock jock' Steve Price has continued his controversial ways by slamming the AFLW on Channel 10's I'm A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here!

Speaking to Collingwood Brownlow medallist Dane Swan, Price asked what he would normally be doing on a Friday night in Melbourne if he weren't in the jungle.

After Swan suggested he'd probably be watching the women's footy, Price scoffed at the suggestion.

“Oh yeah right. That’s a joke and a waste of money,” Price said.

“I mean good luck to them, I think as an amateur pursuit it’s great but don’t try to turn it into something it’s not.”

The talkback radio host was clearly unaware of the league's overwhelming success in its first week, with more than 50,000 fans attending the first 4 games over the weekend.

Aussie swimmer Lisa Curry confronted Price about his views on women's sport, leading him to change his tune.

“Why are women given a hard go in sport just because it may not be a spectator sport, you could say the same about swimming,’ she said.

“I got $2000 my whole career — everything else I earned myself.”

Price responded: “I’m a big supporter of women’s sport Lisa, but I’d give more of a voice to minor women’s sport than to that."
